NPC member visits Associazione Stampa Estera in Rome, an NPC reciprocal club
One of the member benefits of the National Press Club is the opportunity to visit and use the facilities at 69 reciprocal clubs located in cities across the U.S. and abroad. Member Maria San Jose visited Associazione Stampa Estera, the home of the Foreign Press Association in Italy. Here is her report: Associazione Stampa Estera -- the Stampa Estera for short -- was founded in 1912. Today, the members include 450 correspondents from 350 media outlets worldwide.

American History museum shares objects with hidden stories to take Post 20 on a journey through political history
A curator with the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of American History told American Legion Post 20 members on Wednesday, "Objects have hidden stories in them." Dr. Claire Jerry, curator of the museum's Division of Political History, discussed efforts to document political history, and to help the public share and understand that history. Jerry described how the political history division has 170,000 objects, some of which predate the Smithsonian itself, founded in 1846. The Press Club's Member-Author Team plans to hold its first social on Friday, March 21, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., in the Reliable Source’s Cosgrove Lounge. New privacy work booths arrive Tuesday on the 14th floor
The National Press Club is upgrading the 14th-floor member workspace with the installation of privacy work booths on Tuesday, March 18. The booths will offer a quiet space for focused work, video calls, or phone calls. The Club is adding the booths in response to member feedback. During the installation, the workspace in the hallway outside of the fitness center and back to the 14th-floor studio will be unavailable. We appreciate your patience as we complete this upgrade!
