Host Your Event at The National Press Club
Since 1908, the National Press Club has been Washington’s home for news, business and social events in the nation’s capital, hosting more than 2,100 public and private events annually featuring global leaders in media, business, politics, sports and entertainment. Our full-service event venue and conference center provides in-house gourmet catering, professional A/V and multimedia production services and features a variety of event spaces to accommodate 15 to 1,500 guests.
Nestled in the heart of downtown Washington, D.C. between The White House, Washington Monument and Capitol Hill with easy access to Metro, parking and hotels, the National Press Club offers a unique historic setting like no other, and also provides the convenience, value and world-class service you deserve.
In the current Phase II stage of Washington, DC's reopening plan, the National Press Club is able to operate at up to 50% capacity with proper distancing protocols for event hosting services, including food/beverage services. We also offer "hybrid" and "virtual" events utilizing our state of the art multimedia production studios, giving you multiple options to engage audiences through programming and events.
In-Person Events – The current reopening phase allows for meetings and events up to 50% of our normal capacity, with proper distancing protocols (view updated event space capacities). We can accommodate your group up to these limits with full security and safety measures in place including social distancing room configurations, no-contact food/beverage service and other safety measures to protect you and your guests. Hybrid Events - A reduced in-person gathering in compliance with current limitations, along with a live online experience for those unable to attend in-person due to restrictions. This would allow you to have all the benefits of the in-person experience - with full safety measures in place - as well as extended reach to an unlimited audience through an interactive online program. This is the best of both worlds and gives you maximum reach and impact, and the reduction in in-person attendance can free up previously allocated funds to be used to add the online experience at little or no additional cost.
Virtual Events – A completely online experience. Through our multimedia production services unit, we can produce a fully virtual program to help you reach audiences online that would previously have been done via a live event (educational seminars, media briefings, interviews, panel discussions, etc.). We offer fully virtual programs, in studio programs, or a combination of the two, including interactive Q&A, video inserts, closed captioning, polling, etc. that can be streamed to your website, YouTube channel, Facebook page, Twitter account or any combination of these. The Press Club has worked with many organizations over the past several months including hosting New York Governor Andrew Cuomo’s daily coronavirus briefing carried live on CNN, MSNBC, CBS News and other media networks, as well virtual events for the American Medical Association, the world champion Washington Nationals and others.
The National Press Club’s historic and elegant venue is perfectly complemented by the creative cuisine and the impeccable service provided by our in-house catering team, led by Executive Chef Susan Delbert. The Press Club prides itself on the use of fresh, quality ingredients. All beef is Certified Angus Beef; our seafood is delivered fresh daily from right here in the Chesapeake Region. Most fish and meats are hand-butchered in house. Fruits and vegetables are local when available and seasonal alternatives guarantee the best flavor and freshness. Pastries and desserts are made by artisans using only the finest ingredients and old world techniques. Virtually every meal is made from scratch.
