Photo Team to get preview of award-winning D.C. photo collection at March 19 meeting
National Press Club members can get an early look at a new collection of prize-winning images depicting life in Washington, D.C., over the past two decades at the Photography Team's next meeting, on March 19 at noon in the Cosgrove Lounge. Registration is free and essential for both in-person and remote participants. (Log-in first as a member on press.org before registering.)

Heather Goss, founder of Exposed DC, a local photography organization, will tell how the collection came about and show a sample of its 600+ images, set to reside at the Martin Luther King Public Library beginning in May. Exposed DC is a not-for-profit online network of photography enthusiasts, started by Goss in 2006.
The group's website and weekly emails tell about photography exhibits, competitions, meet-ups and classes in the region, as well as commercial resources for photographers. Plus, Exposed DC holds an annual contest to highlight superior photography depicting life and times in D.C.
The Exposed DC Photography Collection, donated to the D.C. library, offers more than 600 winning entries from the annual contest over the past 18 years. The library announced the donated collection in October 2024, with its official opening planned for May 24.
The meeting begins with lunch purchased on your own from the Reliable Source. Goss's talk begins at 12:45 p.m. The program will be made available to remote participants over Zoom beginning at 12:45 p.m. Register to receive the log-in information.
