Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Maryland, lead House manager of the second impeachment trial of former President Trump, plans to speak on how the United States can move forward amid polarized politics at a National Press Club Virtual Headliners Newsmaker event on at 2 p.m. Monday, March 8.

The one-hour program will stream live on the Club’s website and YouTube Channel as part of the National Press Club’s Virtual Headliner series, and is accessible to both the press and general public free-of-charge. To access the event on March 8 or download a calendar reminder, click here.

Trump's second impeachment trial in the U.S. Senate ended Feb. 13 with 57 senators voting to convict, falling short of the two-thirds majority, or 67 votes, needed to convict. 

Raskin serves on the House Judiciary, Oversight, Administration and Rules Committees. He is a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Law School and was professor of constitutional law at American University's Washington College of Law for more than 25 years.
