NPC Virtual Newsmaker: Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD)

Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD), lead House manager of the second Senate impeachment trial of former President Trump, will speak Monday, March 8 at 2 p.m. at a National Press Club virtual Headliner event. Raskin will discuss how the United States can move forward amid polarized politics. 

The one-hour program will stream live on the Club’s website and YouTube Channel as part of the National Press Club’s Virtual Headliner series, and is accessible to both the press and general public free-of-charge.

Opening remarks from Raskin will be followed by a moderated question-and-answer session. Viewers may send their questions via email to [email protected]. Please put “Raskin,” in the subject line. The questions will not be shared with the congressman in advance of the event. 

The impeachment trial in the U.S. Senate ended Feb. 13 with 57 senators voting to convict, falling short of the two-thirds majority needed to convict. 

Raskin, who represents Maryland’s 8th Congressional District, serves on the Judiciary, House Oversight, House Administration and the Rules committees. Raskin, a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Law School, was professor of constitutional law at American University Washington College of Law for more than 25 years.
