Get an insider look at the National Press Club’s Broadcast Operations Center at 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13. Register online. Randy Hall, the Club's director of facilities and media, will lead the tour of the facility, which features two studios, two post-production suites and transmission services via satellite, fiber or IP. Jan. 8 American Legion Post 20 meeting focuses on Vietnam War Commemoration
American Legion Post 20 will receive an update on 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War Commemoration at noon Wednesday, Jan. 8, in the McClendon Room. The Vietnam War Commemoration has sponsored a range of events and activities to honor those who served during the Vietnam era. The Department of Veterans Affairs estimates more than seven million Vietnam veterans currently live in the U.S. and abroad. Annual Club holiday party for members and their families takes place Wednesday
The National Press Club's annual holiday party for members and their families will take place beginning at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18. The event will be held midweek for the second straight year. There will be a variety of activities and entertainment for the whole family, including a visit by Santa Claus, a chance to decorate gingerbread cookies, and buffets for adults and children. Tickets are $23 for adults and include the buffet and a glass of Prosecco. Endless beer, wine and soft drinks cost an additional $5.
