Abbas Shirmohammadi, well-known Washington photographer whose stunning panoramic images are currently on display in the National Press Club lobby, will speak at an event sponsored by the Photo Committee, at 12:30 p.m., Thursday, March 19 in the Zenger Room. IRS Commissioner John Koskinen to Speak at NPC March 31
As the April 15 tax deadline approaches, John Koskinen, commissioner of the Internal Revenue Service, will speak at a National Press Club luncheon on March 31. The theme of Koskinen’s speech is “The IRS: Learning from the Past; Building for the Future.” Koskinen will address a number of issues, including GOP efforts to cut the IRS budget and what effect that might have on the agency’s customer service and collection efforts. Club to close briefly Wednesday morning for security sweep
The Club will be closed from 9 a.m to 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday for a security sweep. Members will be asked to exit the Club by 9 a.m. so the officials can conduct the security sweep. Members may return at 10:30 a.m., but must pass through a metal detector. Please allow extra time in your schedule to pass through security. Breakfast at The Reliable Source will end promptly at 9 a.m. The Reliable Source will be re-open for lunch, however the Fourth Estate will not open until dinner.
