David Walker, former U.S. Comptroller General, came to the Press Club on April 23, 2001 to talk about the role of the general accounting office. Among the topics, Walker discussed the roles and responsibilities of the office in all areas of government finance and strategic planning, including the federal budget, the U.S. Postal Service, Social Security and Medicare.
