Club members invited to apply for Center on Global Energy Policy's 2024 Energy Journalism Fellows Program

National Press Club members are invited to apply for the 2024 Energy Journalism Fellows Program, said EJF Director Bill Loveless, a former energy editor and reporter at S&P Global, and a Club member.

The Center on Global Energy Policy at Columbia University is accepting applications for the EJF seminar to take place in New York City June 11-14. There are spots for 20 energy and climate journalists from the U.S. and other countries to participate in presentations to help deepen their understanding of complex issues associated with climate change and the energy transition.

The program is open to reporters covering energy and climate change, with a preference for reporters relatively new to the beat. The deadline for applications is March 1.

There are no fees for reporters participating in the program. The Center on Global Energy Policy will cover hotel and transportation expenses.

EJF has enrolled 140 reporters from news organizations large and small since its inception in 2017.

Among the topics covered in the seminar are policy, geopolitics, science, technology, markets and finance.
