A capital idea: Spend July 4 at the Club

The National Press Club will open its doors to members and their guests on Wednesday, July 4, offering a unique spot to spend Independence Day. While the Club officially will be closed, members and guests who pre-register can enjoy drinks and snacks in the First Amendment lounge from 4:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. The PBS broadcast of a Capital Fourth will be shown on a big screen TV.

The deadline for reservations is noon on Monday, July 2. Since the Club is officially closed on July 4, only those members and guests who have pre-registered will be admitted.

Tickets are $10 for members and $15 for guests. Kids are free. To guarantee admittance on July 4, please come to the club on Monday, July 2, and pick up a wrist band indicating that you have reserved a spot.
