Annual Membership Meeting Set for Jan. 21

The annual membership meeting of the National Press Club will be at noon Friday, Jan. 21, when Mark Hamrick will take office as the Club's 104th president.

Outgoing President Alan Bjerga and other officers will review the Club's operations of the past year including developments since the autumn membership meeting on Oct. 8. Hamrick will outline his plans for 2011.

The membership also will be asked to approve an overall membership dues increase of 1.8 percent with per category variance in keeping with the new membership categories that were adopted at the autumn membership meeting, when the number of membership categories was consolidated and streamlined.

A sandwich buffet will be served.
