Whiskey tasting will benefit Club's Journalism Institute
More than 100 craft distillers from around the country will hold a tasting event for whiskey and other distilled spirits at the National Press Club from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 23. The tasting is open to Club members, working journalists and the general public.
The event is sponsored by the Distilled Spirits Council of the United States and the American Craft Spirits Association to benefit the Club's Journalism Institute, which campaigns for press freedom issues and helps train journalists. The event will be hosted in the First Amendment and Holeman Lounges.
Credentialed press will need to present identification such as a congressional pass or news organization ID at the door. Club members will need to use their Club ID during registration.
