"Spirits of America" tasting next Tuesday will benefit press freedom projects

Craft distillers from around the country will come together at the National Press Club for an event to benefit the Club's Journalism Institute. More than 100 distillers will offer distilled spirits tastings from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 23. The event is open to members of the Club, working journalists and the general public.

Register online.

The tasting is sponsored by the Distilled Spirits Council of the United States and the American Craft Spirits Association to raise funds for the institute, which campaigns for press freedom issues and helps train journalists. The event will be hosted in the First Amendment and Holeman lounges.

Credentialed press will need to present identification such as a congressional pass or news organization ID at the door. Club members will need to use their club ID during registration.
