Menu announced for May 24 Spanish dinner

National Press Club members and their guests are invited to attend a special Spanish Dinner on Thursday, May 24, at the Reliable Source at 5:30 p.m.

Appetizers/Bar snacks

Choice: chicken or beef empanadas with chimichurri dipping sauce(5) $10

Pimientos de Padrón, Spanish style blistered mini-peppers in garlic butter $8

Entrees

Gambas al ajillo, Garlic shrimp, parsley butter sauce over egg fettucine $20

Albondigas con arroz, Spanish lamb meatballs, spicy red sauce, Spanish rice with corn peppers and chorizo $20

Dessert

Flan de vanilla (Vanilla flan with whipped cream) $7

Sliced Tres leches cake

Drink specials $8

· Tinto de Verano: Red wine, lemonade and lemon slices

· Agua de Valencia: Gin, vodka, champagne and a pinch of sugar

· The Barcelona: Spanish brandy, dry sherry, orange juice, crushed ice, shot of heavy cream and syrup

· Sheri-Tini: Dry sherry Gin, olives or orange peel and cracked ice.
