Cokie Roberts is guest on April 1 Kalb Report

Journalist Cokie Roberts will be Marvin Kalb’s guest on Monday, April 1, in a “Conversation with Cokie Roberts on Democracy, Politics and the Press,” which will be taped at the National Press Club.

Roberts, a mainstay of NPR since 1978 and ABC News since 1988, and a contributor to the PBS NewsHour, grew up in a political family in New Orleans. She is the daughter of Hale Boggs, who was House majority leader before his death, and Lindy Boggs, who took over his Louisiana congressional seat for nearly 20 years and was later appointed ambassador to the Holy See.

The program begins at 8 p.m. sharp, and guests are urged to arrive before 7:40. Admission is free, but seats are limited. Make reservations online.

This is the 25th anniversary season of the Kalb Report, which is funded by the Ethics and Excellence in Journalism Foundation. Maryland Public Television serves as presenting station for national distribution of the series.
