Club sets Headliners Luncheon featuring Rick Warren for Oct. 16

Rick Warren, founder and senior pastor of evangelical Saddleback Church in California and a member of the board of directors of the Museum of the Bible, plans to speak at a National Press Club Headliners Luncheon on Monday, Oct. 16.

Lunch will be served in the Club’s Holeman Lounge at 12:30 p.m., with remarks beginning at 1 p.m., followed by a question-and-answer session ending at 2 p.m. Tickets cost $25 for Club members (members may purchase two tickets at this rate) and $39 for all other non-member tickets. Please click here for tickets. For all ticketing-related questions, please email [email protected] or call (202) 662-7501. Tickets must be paid for at the time of purchase.

Warren has been senior pastor for more than 30 years at the Saddleback Church. He also oversees a global alliance of pastors through the Purpose Driven Network and the Pastors.com online community he established to provide sermons and other practical resources for ministers. He plans to discuss the mission and features of the new Museum of the Bible, located near the Federal Center metro station in Southwest D.C., which is scheduled to open in November.

The museum will make use of “cutting-edge technology to bring the Bible to life” and “will span time, space, and cultures, inviting everyone to engage with the Bible,” according to its website. It is set to feature several permanent sections, as well as space for temporary exhibits, several research labs and libraries, and a rooftop biblical garden and restaurant.

To submit a question for the speaker in advance, put BIBLE in the subject line and email to [email protected]. The deadline for submitting questions in advance is 10 a.m. on the day of the luncheon.

Press Club Members who have a paid reservation to the Luncheon and wish to attend the pre-luncheon reception must send their RSVP via email to [email protected] at least 48 hours before the date of the Luncheon. Space may be limited.
