The hard-won 2019 World Series Championship Trophy, the symbol of one of the greatest come-from-behind victories in the history of sports, will visit the National Press Club on Wednesday evening February 12, so members, their families and guests can get a close look and take photos for social media.

The Trophy is traveling to Spring Training later this week so Wednesday might be the last chance for fans to see it before it leaves town to help the Nats prepare to defend their Championship.

"The World Series Trophy is a symbol of skill, perseverance, teamwork and success," said Mike Freedman, the 113th President of the National Press Club. "The 2019 Washington Washington Nationals reminded us all that we can play through adversity, come together, have fun, and win - fair and square. It is an honor to have a World Series Trophy on display at the National Press Club for the first time in our history and a real pleasure to share it with our members and their families."

The event will begin at 5:30 and conclude at 7:30. There is no charge for members and their guests.

The Club will offer light refreshments and a cash bar. There will be free hot dogs for all children with a baseball uniform, hat, or glove. No bats please!

The trophy will depart promptly at 7:30.
