Judge Lawrence S. Margolis, recent NPC member
Judge Lawrence S. Margolis, a recent NPC member and husband of long-time NPC member Doris Margolis, died Jan. 18 of a heart ailment. A resident of Washington, D.C., he retired after more than 31 years as a judge on the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. He was born in Philadelphia in 1935 and joined the NPC in November 2016. Margolis served as a U.S. Magistrate for D.C. from 1971 until 1981, when President Ronald Reagan appointed him to the Court of Federal Claims.
