Club's American Legion Post 20 tops goal of sponsoring 100 wreaths for National Cemetery
American Legion Post 20, affiliated with the National Press Club, has now topped its goal of sponsoring 100 wreaths to be placed during the Christmas season at the U.S. Soldiers' and Airmen's Home National Cemetery in Washington. (Click to see the Post's page that shows the sponsorships are just over the goal, with time to add more.) The effort is part of the Wreaths Across America program, which honors veterans by placing wreaths at headstones in national cemeteries across the country. Club members are invited to participate. The next Owls Hoot is set for 5:30 p.m., Friday, Dec. 13, in the National Press Club Grand Ballroom. All Press Club members and their guests may attend.
