The National Press Club again will field a team in the annual 5K Freedom Run/Walk to benefit the James W. Foley Legacy Foundation. The run will take place beginning at 8 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 15, at Anacostia Park in Washington. Registering in advance is preferred. Onsite registration begins at 7 a.m. on race day. Club archives tour scheduled for Nov. 22 is sold out
The members-only tour of the National Press Club Archives on Oct. 18 was so popular it reached capacity. Now the second scheduled tour for Friday, Nov. 22, is also at capacity. But watch The Wire for updates on when another tour will be scheduled, probably in 2025. National Press Club members are invited -- again -- to a screening event for "September 5," a new film chronicling the terrorist attacks during the 1972 Summer Olympics.
