Rod Nordland, globe trotting international correspondent, died June 18
Rod Nordland, a longtime loyal National Press Club member and globe trotting International correspondent for The New York Times and other publications, passed away at his home in New York City June 18 at the age of 75. His obituary in the Sunday Times said that for 40 years he was constantly on the go, never moving back to the United States until he was forced to by illness. Yet for Nordland, his National Press Club membership card was precious to him since joining in 1988. When he collapsed in a Delhi, India park in 2019, his card was lost.
