Reliable Source lunch buffet returns to weekly service starting Wednesday
The National Press Club's Reliable Source lunch buffet returns weekly beginning Wednesday, May 24. It will be offered every Wednesday after that from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The buffet had been suspended during the COVID-19 pandemic, There also will be special drinks and an a la carte menu available. The price of the buffet will be $23 per person, plus tax and gratuity.

Reliable Source features Pub Quiz and Chinese buffet next month
The Reliable Source will host a Pub Quiz and a Chinese buffet in January. The Pub Quiz takes place beginning at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 11. Then the buffet will begin serving at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 25, with Chinese music to accompany the meal. Club members can reserve the McClendon Room or Cosgrove Lounge free of charge if they spend at least $250 on food and beverage for the occasion of using the room. Independent authors to get advice on marketing their books, Jan. 11
The Club's independent authors group, an organization for members who are interested in self-publishing their books, will hold its next meeting Thursday, Jan. 11, at 9:30 a.m. via Zoom. Club member Edward Segal, a public relations consultant, journalist, and bestselling author, will answer questions about how authors can effectively publicize their books and the pitfalls to avoid when promoting their works. American Legion Post to hear World War II author, Jan. 10
Alex Kershaw, author of "The Liberator," will discuss his book at the next meeting of American Legion Post 20. scheduled for noon on Wednesday, Jan. 10. Kershaw's book is the true story of Felix Sparks, a Texas-born officer who fought in World War II from the beaches of Sicily to the gates of Dachau. The Liberator also became a Netflix series.
