The National Press Club will hold a general membership meeting for all Club members on Friday, May 31 at 5 p.m. in the Conference Rooms. There will not be a livestream, so please plan accordingly to attend in-person. Each attendee will be provided a complimentary drink ticket to be enjoyed with tasty hors d'oeuvres in the Truman Lounge immediately following the meeting. American Legion Post 20 Meeting with Howard Hoege III
Press Club's American Legion Post Meeting to Feature Head of Mariners' Museum
The president and CEO of the Mariners' Museum and Park in Newport News, Virginia, plans to speak at the next meeting of the National Press Club's American Legion Post. Howard Hoege III will describe the museum's collection, which includes more than 200 tons of artifacts recovered from the USS Monitor. Post 20's luncheon meeting will take place at noon on Wednesday, Sept. 4 in the McClendon Room. All Club members are invited. The Monitor was the first ironclad vessel commissioned by the U.S. Navy.
