Women's Salon Night to tackle questions of the day, May 14
Historically, in many cultures, women have hosted Salon Nights to talk about the bigger questions of the day. These philosophical and intellectual conversations have fostered communities, ideas, epiphanies, partnershipson and so much more.
The National Press will hold its own Women's Salon Night at 5:30 p.m., on Wednesday, May 14, in the Reliable Source. At this Salon, we will discuss topics ranging from art and creativity to community building and the future of journalism and communications.
Men, you are appreciated, but this meetup is just for those who identify as women.
Debra Silimeo, president of the Silimeo Group and member of the National Press Club Board of Governors, will lead the conversation. The session will focus on strategies for building and sustaining a supportive professional network: what has worked in your own career, how to access support when you need it and how to ensure your network remains mutually beneficial.
Please submit your reservation to the Reliable Source by emailing [email protected], submitting a reservation via the Club's online "Book a Reservation" form (please notate "attending the Women's Salon Night" in the Special Requests/Notes field), or by calling 202- 662-7443.
