Many people watched the deadly attack on the Capitol unfold live on television. Fewer were there to experience it in person

Dunn was there when what was supposed to be a ceremonial certification of the November election results became a violent insurrection by Trump supporters. Dunn’s book recounts that fateful day and those that followed, including his testimony before the bipartisan select House committee investigating Jan. 6, as it examines the political and racial divides that threaten our democracy.

The Coffee and Conversation book event will feature a moderated discussion with the author, an audience question-and-answer session, and a book signing. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. with a light breakfast of coffee, tea, muffins and pastries.

To submit a question in advance for the panel, put JAN 6 in the subject line and email to [email protected].
