Four candidates for Club offices spoke Dec. 3 to members of the American Legion Post 20

Four candidates seeking National Press Club offices and board seats in the Dec. 6 election addressed the National Press Club American Legion Post 20 on Tuesday, Dec. 3. 

Post members heard from Michael Freedman, who is running for president; Mark Schoeff Jr. and Herb Jackson, who are seeking two-year board terms, and Lisa Matthews, who is running for vice president. They were welcomed by Past Post Commander Ken Dalecki.

Online voting for National Press Club elections is underway through 4 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6.

All members eligible to vote should have received an email from e-Ballot with a link taking them to the voting portal.  If you’re eligible to vote and didn’t receive an email please contact Laura Coker at [email protected].

In-person voting begins Dec. 6 at 4 p.m. on the 14th floor of the Club and runs until 7 p.m.  Ballots are counted shortly after 7 p.m. and results should be announced close to 7:30 p.m.  Celebratory champagne will be available in the Reliable Source to toast the winners.
