National Press Club online voting opens
The National Press Club election is now open for eligible voting members.
This year’s election includes three contested positions: the office of secretary, a 1-year unexpired journalist governor term, and a 3-year communicator governor term. All candidate statements and biographies are available online.
Eligible voting members have received an email from the Club’s secure online voting platform with specific instructions and login credentials for casting their ballot. Please note, these credentials are different from those for your press.org account.
Important Voting Information
Inactive, spousal/partner, student, intern, and honorary members are not eligible to vote. Members delinquent in dues or fees are also not considered in good standing and are not eligible to vote.
Under Club bylaws:
Journalist members will receive a ballot including officer positions and open journalist governor seats.
Communicator members will receive a ballot including only the open 3-year communicator governor seat.
Voting Deadlines and Election Results
Online voting closes on Friday, Dec. 6, at 12 p.m. Be sure you can actually make it to the Club for in-person voting in the short three-hour window before letting the online voting window expire.
For those who prefer, in-person voting will be available on the 14th floor outside the president’s office 2–5 p.m. on Dec. 6.
