Year 2000 Computer Problem Readiness

Mr. Koskinen released the final quarterly report of the President's Council on the Year 2000 Conversion on the readiness of the nation. The report focused on the Council's findings in critical areas such as electric power, financial services, food supply and telecommunications and found that U.S. infrastructure would not be affected by potential problems arising from the date change on January 1, 2000. After his remarks he answered questions from the audience.
