Year 2000 Computer Problem Countdown

Senators Dodd and Bennett talked about the nation's readiness for dealing with the year 2000 computer problem. They related how their commission inspected government and private computer systems in America and abroad, and stated that "civilization will not come to an end" on January 1, 2000. Stating that they are generally optimistic, they cautioned that there is still much to do before the end of the year. After their remarks they answered media questions.
