Legislation filed in the House Thursday would bar foreign aid for government entities that the U.S. government determines to have egregiously violated journalists’ human rights, and it would require sanctions on individuals who participated in such acts. Raymond Galant, a member of the National Press Club during his Washington career in public relations and as highly regarded reporter covering the food chemical industry, died Jan. 27 due to complications from Covid-19.
