National Press Club and its Journalism Institute recognize Reuters journalists with press freedom award
In a year when journalists have been targeted by governments and forces who see freedom of information as a threat to their power, the National Press Club and its nonprofit Journalism Institute are recognizing Wa Lone and Kyaw Soe Oo, Reuters journalists who have been on the front lines of the struggle, with its 2018 Aubuchon Press Freedom Award. Wanted: The best writing on aviation, aerospace and defense
Journalists who write about aviation, aerospace and defense are encouraged to enter their best work from 2017 in the National Press Club’s annual journalism contest. The Michael Dornheim Award is presented in honor of the late Michael A. Dornheim, a longtime reporter and editor at Aviation Week & Space Technology magazine. The recipient must be a working journalist writing about aerospace, defense, the airline industry, or aerospace science and engineering. The winner gets a $1,000 prize. The deadline is April 1.
