‘She Said’ wins favorite journalism book in 2020 Book Bracket final
“She Said,” by New York Times reporters Jodi Kantor and Megan Twohey, is the 2020 Book Bracket champion. The title narrowly bested journalism classic “All The President’s Men,” by Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein, in the final round of the National Press Club Journalism Institute’s inaugural Book Bracket. Throughout April, voters narrowed the original pool of 64 titles submitted as readers’ favorite journalism books.

Texas TV station managing editor Allen Manning dies at 57
William A. "Allen" Manning, managing editor of WFAA in Dallas,Texas, a seven-year, non-resident member of the National Press Club, died on March 10 at the age of 57. In addition to managing newsrooms across Texas, Manning also love to write, his colleagues said. He tweeted his thoughts under the handle @roadmonkeyone. Two books that illustrate how tenacious journalism can bring about justice and ignite change will face off in the final round of the 2020 Book Bracket. “All The President’s Men,” by Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein, and “She Said,” by Jodi Kantor and Meghan Twohey, are the two finalists in the National Press Club Journalism Institute’s inaugural Book Bracket. Voters narrowed the original pool of 64 titles submitted as readers’ favorite journalism books. The winner will be announced Tuesday. Vote by midnight Monday to choose the champion.
