National Press Club members are invited to a screening of the film Tharlo and a discussion with award-winning Tibetan film director Pema Tseden on Monday, Sept. 24, hosted by the Confucius Institute U.S. Center. Last week to submit author applications to NPC Book Fair
Friday will be the last day to submit author applications for the National Press Club’s annual Book Fair and Author’s Night. Applications received after the 5 p.m. deadline will not be reviewed. All literary genres are considered, however, self-published books and books only available in e-format will not be accepted. The application fee of $75 for Club members and $150 for non-members is due and payable upon acceptance to the Book Fair. Adam Clymer, a veteran political reporter who enjoyed dining at the National Press Club's Reliable Source grill after retiring as chief Washington correspondent for the New York Times in 2003, died of cancer on Sept. 10 at his home in Washington. He was 81.
