Ukrainian-American journalist Andrea Chalupa will discuss how George Orwell's Animal Farm was translated into Ukrainian & distributed free in displaced persons camps in Germany before being discovered by the Soviets, who destroyed as many copies as possible. Miss Chalupa's uncle was given a copy in the camp. She will present a copy to the National Press Club.

John Pistole, head of the Transportation Security Administration, will speak at a National Press Club Speakers Luncheon, March 5. Pistole will discuss "Counterterrorism, Risk-Based Security, and TSA’s Vision for the Future of Aviation Security." In July, 2010, Pistole was confirmed as the fifth administrator of the TSA, where he oversees the 60,000 employees who provide security at more than 450 U.S. airports and through the Federal Air Marshal Service.
