The Creation of \"Barney\"""
Ms. Leach described the creation of Barney, a dinosaur on children's television, and the resulting highly successful television series, videos for the home, and products such as toys and clothing. Ms. Leach said she had been trying to find non-violent programming for her own toddler and created "Barney" out of necessity. Ms. Leach spoke to an audience of journalists and their children, and answered questions from the audience. Following the question period, "Barney" appeared to lead the children in singing songs from the "Barney" show. The program ends during the first song.
