The 2019 Gridiron Sunday Reprise is scheduled for Sunday at 2 p.m. in the ballroom of the Washington Renaissance Hotel, 999 Ninth Street NW. The cost is $70. National Press Club to recognize the best newsletter journalism from 2018
Some of the most important coverage of specific news topics comes from newsletter journalism. The National Press Club wants to honor the best reporting published in newsletters in 2018. Funeral service for Sho Chandra set for Tuesday in Bethesda
Funeral services for Bloomberg economics reporter and longtime National Press Club volunteer Shobhana "Sho" Chandra are planned for Tuesday, Feb. 26, at 11:30 a.m. at the Robert A. Pumphrey Funeral Home in Bethesda. Chandra, 53, a devoted editor of the Wire and a cheerful presence at the Club for many years, died Feb. 20 upon arrival at Dulles after a trip to visit family in India. Read more about Chandra here.
