A painting of an Old West scene with seven rough men – three of them handcuffed -- riding in a buckboard hangs in the National Press Club’s library conference room. It is a work by renowned early 20th century illustrator N.C. Wyeth, whose original paintings are highly sought-after by collectors. Wyeth is famous for his illustrations that appeared in books, magazines and posters. He is also the father of Andrew Wyeth, one of the great artists of the mid-20th century. Communicators panel confirms the importance of communications in advocacy campaigns
During a Lunch and Learn session sponsored by the National Press Club Communicators Team Oct. 8, a panel of government relations experts reviewed the best practices for communicating with Congress on advocacy campaigns. At age 29, Jackie Wallace left the Los Angeles Rams after playing in two Super Bowls over six seasons in the National Football League. Armed with a college degree, Wallace easily could have transitioned into coaching, teaching or a variety of other pursuits. The Washington Post to serve as media partner for National Press Club’s Help The Heroes campaign
The National Press Club announced at a recent news conference that The Washington Post would serve as an official media partner for the Club’s Help The Heroes campaign, a program designed to help front line medical workers at Howard University Hospital and feed the fight against COVID-19 by providing hospital staff with nutritious take-home meals. The American Academy of Arts and Sciences released its new report titled "Restoring Trust in American Business." The report examined the recent corporate scandals and includes steps for improving corporate conduct and restoring confidence in American business.
