Debunking the C-SPAN Myths
Mr. Lamb spoke about the history and mission of C-SPAN, the Cable Satellite Public Affairs Network, founded in 1979. He emphasized that the goal of C-SPAN is to provide citizens unfiltered coverage of a wide variety of public affairs, focusing on the federal government, in order to allow them to make personal, informed decisions on public policy issues. He also shared several humorous telephone comments left by viewers over the years. After his remarks, he took questions from the audience.

Acclaimed Emmy Award winning filmmaker Ken Burns joined by Harvard Professor Henry Louis Gates Jr., will talk about race in America at a National Press Club luncheon March 14. The history of race has captured the attention of both men and now Burns and Gates have teamed up to host a national lecture series that takes a deeper dive on the issue.
