Road closures in downtown DC affecting Club access
NOTE TO ALL CLUB MEMBERS: Please be advised that road closures and parking restrictions in the immediate area of the National Press Building have been put into effect as of Jan. 12. Vehicular access is restricted from 3rd Street NW to 20th Street NW, and from L Street NW to Independence Ave SW. Starting Jan. 14 and continuing through Inauguration Day Jan. 20, the Metropolitan Police Department will barricade all the garages in the vicinity of the National Press Club and the National Press Building and prohibit all street parking. The National Press Club will offer workspaces for journalists covering the presidential inauguration next week. The 59th Inaugural events for President-elect Joseph R. Biden Jr. and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris will begin on Monday, Jan. 18, and run through Wednesday, Jan. 20. For the safety and security of our members and staff, the Club will be open only to credentialed journalists with confirmed reservations on Tuesday, Jan. 19, and Wednesday, Jan. 20.
