Gloria Steinem, the feminist activist and founder of Ms. Magazine, will speak at a National Press Club luncheon on Nov. 18. Steinem is one of 16 people President Barack Obama honored this year with the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation’s highest civilian honor. In her more than 40 years advocating for women’s equality, Steinem helped found the Women’s Action Alliance, the National Women’s Political Caucus and the Women’s Media Center.
