While attending Club holiday party, don't forget a toy for those at Children's National Hospital
Consider bringing items to donate on Wednesday when you attend the Club's annual holiday party. The Club is collecting new toys and other items for the Children's National Hospital. They will be given to patients in the hospital and their families to provide comfort, offer distractions and to normalize the hospital setting. Check out this Wish List for gift ideas. A donation box is located on the 14th floor, outside the president’s office. Items will be accepted until Thursday, Dec. 19. Find a list of guidelines for items here. NPC Statement on Death of Al Jazeera Cameraman Ahmed Al-Louh in Gaza
WASHINGTON, Dec. 16 – Following is a statement from Emily Wilkins, President of the National Press Club, on the death of Al Jazeera journalist Ahmed Al-Louh while working in Gaza, Dec. 15. “Our hearts go out to the family of Ahmed Al-Louh, a journalist for Al Jazeera who was killed by an Israeli airstrike while working in Gaza, Dec. 15. The circumstances must be investigated to determine if this was a targeted strike. According to reports, Al-Louh’s home was also attacked and destroyed in a separate incident, which raises questions about the intent of the IDF. Journalists are not combatants.…

Your generous donations will be given to patients and family members during their hospital visit to provide comfort, offer distractions and to normalize the hospital setting.
