The program, created by the History and Heritage team, not only highlights that event in February,1945 that produced the most famous photo in Club history, but it also explores what happened at the Club during World War II, and Truman’s many Club visits until 1964. He remained a Club member until his death in 1972. The program includes video commentary from Truman’s daughter, Margaret, and grandson, Clifton Truman Daniel, as well as audio of Truman talking at the Club in 1961 with President John Cosgrove.

Tour the Club archives on March 21
The members-only tours of the National Press Club Archives have been very popular, often reaching capacity weeks ahead of the tour. So if you want to participate and haven't yet, sign up now for the Friday, March 21, tour at noon. Hear stories of the National Press Club's history dating back to 1908, and the history of journalism in the Washington area, during a tour of the collection of artifacts housed on the 4th floor of the National Press Building.
