Debby is a downer: August Pub Quiz canceled
Hurricane Debby is plowing up the east coast this week, and likely to hit the DMV area on or around Thursday evening. Because Debby is bringing rain, and lots of it, Pub Quiz, which was scheduled for tonight, Aug. 8, is canceled. We will resume Pub Quiz on Thursday, Sept.12, plenty of time to get your team ready and to smarten up!

Contributing to Update-1, the National Press Club’s podcast, is a terrific opportunity for members to tell their own stories and also to learn about a wide range of issues, Mike Hempen, co-chair of the Club’s Broadcast/Podcast Team, told the Club’s Independent Authors group at an Aug. 8 meeting.
