Prior to arriving to the National Press Club: Self-certify your health before visiting the Club. Confirm you have no temperature (100.4 or above) and are not exhibiting any COVID-19 symptoms. If you are experiencing any symptoms, please stay home. Once you arrive at the National Press Club: Practice proper hygiene and sanitization including hand washing and the use of touchless hand sanitizer dispensers throughout the Club in accordance with CDC recommendations. Update 5/20: Since our statement below, we have learned from several sources in Guatemala that Mr. Zamora has not been released from jail to home detention. While Mr. Zamora has been granted home detention for one of the charges against him, he will not be allowed to actually depart detention until reciprocal decisions are reached on the other charges against him. The National Press Club's Photography Team plans to hear from the U.S. Senate historian at its next meeting, Wednesday, May 22, at noon in the Cosgrove Lounge. The event is free and open to NPC members, but reservations in advance are required. Katherine Scott, Ph.D., the Senate's historian, is expected to tell how the photography and other media galleries began and evolved.
