Presidential inaugural gala for Mike Freedman set for Jan. 18
Come to the presidential inaugural gala to honor the National Press Club’s 113th president, Michael Freedman, on Saturday, Jan. 18, with a reception at 6:30 p.m. and dinner at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $100 each for a Club member and one guest, and $125 for nonmembers. Three reporter-source happy hours planned for 2020; first one, Feb. 12
The National Press Club Communicators Team is planning at least three reporter-source happy hours in the Reliable Source during 2020. Club membership meeting set for Jan. 15
The next National Press Club general membership meeting will be held at noon Wednesday, Jan. 15, in the Murrow Room. The meeting will be the last one chaired by outgoing Club President Alison Fitzgerald Kodjak as she hands the gavel over to the newly elected president, Mike Freedman. Lunch will be served. Quarterly Communicators Dinner to be held Jan. 15
The National Press Club Communicators’ Team invites Club members to our next Communicators Roundtable Dinner on Wednesday, Jan. 15. The goal is to have journalists and communicators share concerns, ideas, approaches and strategies on issues that both face, helping them to be more effective. These quarterly dinners are held in the Winners’ Room. Pub Quiz returns on Thursday
The National Press Club's first Pub Quiz of the new year is scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 9, in the Truman Lounge. There will prizes and food and drinks. Teams consist of four to six people, and if you don't have a team, emcee Marc Wojno will find you a place on someone else's.
