For 135 years, a great Washington tradition known as the Gridiron Show has skewered presidents and congressional leaders, political candidates and journalists. The Gridiron Club and Foundation first regales official Washington at a white-tie dinner on a Saturday night with satire and songs. National Press Club member Kara Arundel plans to present her compelling new book, Raising America’s Zoo: How Two Wild Gorillas Helped Transform the National Zoo, on Thursday, Jan. 16, at 6:30 p.m. in the Reliable Source’s Cosgrove Lounge.
