Join us for an interesting discussion about how ethnic media and other media outlets are tackling the huge problem of news deserts for communities that are underserved by many mainstream media outlets. Communities of color or underrepresented groups often do not have their stories or concerns told unless they are connected to a big (often negative) event. NPC's Photography Team will hear about nature photography at its first meeting in 2024, on Wednesday 17 Jan., 12:00 to 2:00 pm in the Cosgrove Lounge. Alex Snyder, senior photo editor at The Nature Conservancy and director of the group's international photo contest, will tell us about the contest, explain its many and varied categories, and display examples from the winning entries.
