Tonight: Photojournalist plans to show her work, discuss state of press freedom in Iran
The National Press Club Press Freedom Team presents a special talk Thursday, Nov. 9, at 6 p.m. with visiting Iranian photojournalist Yalda Moaiery, who is out on bail after being unjustly arrested by Iranian authorities for her coverage of the 2022 hijab protests. Moaiery plans to show samples of her photojournalism work, which have run in a wide range of publications including a recent photo essay for the Washington Post, and answer questions about the press freedom situation in Iran, in the Club's Zenger Room.
