Award-winning Washington Post reporter Laura Meckler will discuss her new book, “Dream Town: Shaker Heights and the Quest for Racial Equity,” at a National Press Club Headliners Book Event on Wednesday, Sept. 13 at 6:30 p.m. Meckler, a national education writer for the Post who grew up in Shaker Heights, Ohio, examines the Cleveland suburb’s decades long quest to create a racially integrated community, confronting both the ideals and realities of her hometown.
