The National Press Club’s Breaking News Awards
The Breaking News Awards recognize excellence in breaking news reporting. Entries will be evaluated based on the quality and accuracy of reporting, as well as speed, initiative, and innovation under deadline pressure. Particular attention will be given to coverage produced within the first 24 hours of the event and to the effective use of multiple formats or platforms to inform and reach news consumers.
